I have just recently purchased another 20v Turbo and had 2 in my collection. So I put my other 20v Turbo for sale on pistonheads.com
After a couple of weeks of nothing but spam and canvassers, I had a phone call from someone at the BBC. And there was me thinking that I hdan't paid my t.v licence by mistake!!
I rung him back and found out that it was the assistant producer for Topgear.
He came round my house and looked over the car and said 'Topgear would like to buy your car'
Just before he left I asked him what they were going to do to my car and he said that it was going to be used in the summer production on one of the challenges where all three of them buy a car and get given set challenges.
Then I said to him 'It was Clarkson who brought it wasn't it?' knowing full well that he wrote a glowing review of these cars when they first came out, and he replied 'Yeah'

So if you watch Topgear, or you don't, just tune in for the summer series and look out for my old Coupe. It's dark green and Reg no. R821 ALC

The car was completely standars, except for some tlc to the bodywork. But if Clarkson wants to write on my old car, then he is more than welcome lol

I sold it for £900 and it is one of those 'buy a cheap car and have some challenges thrown at it'

No it didn't mate. I did mention fccuk.org to him and mentioned that I used the forum, so he might mention it to Clarkson but not sure. Do you think we could send some off to them to put on it??

Lets hope he doesn't mention anything about the exhaust. Good news that it's standard. At least there's a chance of it not blowing up within 300 yards.

No I brought the car with the tip on it, but the previous owner forgot to tell me that he had just kicked it on the pipe and it fell off whilst driving!

Exactly!! As well as mentioning fccuk.org. I mentioned Roger at Powerfiat, basildon who replaced my cambelt so there should be lots of praise on there!!

I did have a 12 Disk changer but when I took the pictures it was being repaired because the headunit wasn't acknowleging the CD changer, so yes there was one but not in the pics!!

Looks a ok Coupe really. Amazing that you can get your hands on so much car for 900 quid.

The producer did say that they had found a 16V Turbo for Clarkson but he was adament that he had a 20v Turbo and he told them to keep looking, but then Clarkson found my car himself so everybody is happy!!
