Halfords had red horns in the other day that looked like replacements for ours. About 15 quid IIRC I was tempted but they were red

Just buy them and paint them up them with some light rubbing from 1200grit sandpaper should key the surface enough to let the paint stick to it...

Thought I'd resurrect this old thread now that my engine bay is looking more respectable . Here are a few shots of mine following the recent engine rebuild, when I took the chance to have a few powder coated bits fitted :

Thanks to Pinin for the coil-pack cover, which looks rather smart with the black I think. The rocker cover, plenum, inlet manifold, fuel and strut brace are all my own work (well, with a little help from a local powder coater for the first three )

That was a bit of a victim of my engine failure to be honest . When the coolant system was pressurised by the engine it blew up like a balloon . To be fair to Pro Alloy, it did not split at all, but I have decided to revert back to the standard one for the time being. It is still serviceable, so I may well go back to it when I finally get my engine sorted out!

Phil
