Mine's lowered by 35mm on PI springs, looks good and it's not too low. Never grounded on any speed bumps and the LE bumper and skirts will clear a standard size kerb.

What front springs measure at 14.5 inches? \:\?

It's not really going to be possible to determine their loaded length unless you know what the spring rate is....

Eibach on mine, on standard dampers - they've been on 3 successive Coupes now and look cool each time - only issue is getting the car onto a recovery truck!!!!!!!! °\(

How does yours feel with Eibachs on standard dampers, are they lowered ones. If so was wondering whether they manage bumps ok, and potholes????

Really quite a good ride - firm but not crashy - combined with the strut brace which you get with the later cars, the whole chassis feels quite tight. The standard dampers do not need to be shortened to fit, as once the top mount is in place, the springs are already in compression, and whilst I'm not a damper expert, I would guess that they are engineered with their own internal end stops, regardless of spring initial length. I drive 100 miles a day to work and back, so I'm quite discerning....!

Bumps are fine, and I've not really had a problem with potholes - any performance car hates them anyway, so I try to avoid them - my integrale really crashes in potholes on the standard suspension, and I keep thinking "wheels cost serious cash..." \:mad\:
I'm sure Bilsteins would be an improvement, but if you're doing things bit by bit, it's maybe something you could do later having tried standard dampers.

Cheers

DBP

Thanks for the info j999evo, i wanted to know because my top mounts have gone at the moment and where my car is o standard dampers its crashing through bumps and potholes and sounds horrible, and feels horrible, so when i have got the top mounts done i want to lower my car slightly, the 30mm of the eibachs is sufficient enough, i dont like cars to be slammed to the floor, plus im getting the piu bumper and dont want to take that off on a speed bump.

I just wanted to know how the eibachs felt over standard springs, then it gives me an idea if the bilsteins on top will make it a bit better, plus adding performance.

My old setup (Eibach springs + std dampers) was CRASHY, though I did not realize how crashy until I got the Bilstein B6's.... 100% better.
