As title really, i'm gettin the car chipped in the new year, also looking at a manual boost controller and i'm just wondering if an uprated fuel pump might be neccasary?

The first thing is that you install a chip to the new boost. If you dont do it, your car is lean in Air Fuel Ratio.

Then you can up the boost within danger.

Pauliho has EVOCARS chips very cheap.
