I saw one of these on the french motorway, in a hybrid black and white (well, maybe cream) colour scheme. From the back it looked fantastic - the colour scheme was perhaps very important in that, though. As for the front, my parents taught me that if I've got nothing nice to say...

I saw a few Lancia versions of the Fiat Idea, which was better looking than the Fiat version. Not a very big statement.

That'll be the Musa ....

I've already found one UK independant that are starting a Badge-swap offering for the Chrysler version..

I know I'm in a minority but I really like the new Delta. It looks far better in the metal. Quirky, yes, but some Lancias always were and I wouldn't have it any other way. In black they look really good. Just a shame they're coming with a Chrysler badge on now. Lets face it, the Coupe does have the odd challenging angle and some people just find it plain ugly.

No as mentioned Briggus - I'm with you all the way - I really like it. I'm actually off to my local Chrysler dealer next week for an inspection.... I wonder if the Lancia GB club will welcome one?

Fair play to you. I would certainly like to see Lancias back - even if the V5 will probably say Chrysler. The badge engineering really worries me, though. The last company to do it in a big way was British Leyland. Oh dear.

Looking at the brochure the one I saw must have been Nadir Pearl / Gloss black, but I remember it being lighter than the photo.

IMHO doesn't matter so much what the badge says - it was designed as a Lancia and built as a Lancia

I've got the Chrysler Delta brochure and strangely enough it looks so similar to the Lancia Delta brochure my father picked up in Italy last year - so even the brochure is Lancia

Only hoping now that the Chrylser dealers (many of who are also Mercedes dealers from their last tie up) are better than Fiat dealers would be at selling Lancia cars

I don't know if we have a Chrysler dealer nearby but I will be looking in to it. The Delta styling can only be Italian to me and really could only be a Lancia and that is what I like about it. Apart from a subtle change to the grille and a badge change it is all Lancia. It even has multi-air engines. I'm sure there will be a rebadge kit available soon. Let me know your thoughts having looked at it properly.

Just to update this with our recent new addition laugh

Its a 2 year old SR - one down from the top of the range with most of the kit on. Not the most engaging drivers car but I love the look, its very comfortable, economic (MultiAir) and I never see another - especially as I have correctly branded it back to a Lancia cool
You would not believe how many comments / people stopping to ask me about Lancia etc. that I have had.......

Oh - and I paid less than half the new price for an as new car. Fiat really missed a trick - The Lancia brand is back to being cool IMO especially since that Top Gear piece. I know the car has been slated with many comments because it bears the Delta badge - however this is really a throw back to the original Lancia theme of discreet, luxurious, stylish cars for the connoisseur smile
