They would do the job at making some noise but not quite sure how well the universal ones would filter the air?

A Pipercross or K&N pamle filter in the standard airbox will do the job. Worked a treat on my Punto GT

Again, as bockers said, a panel filter and maybe even a drilled airbox would work.

Least this method is tried and tested whereas a comedy ripseed one is pretty much designed for corsas/novas etc, i personally wouldnt bother.

ok but i dont get much noise with my drilled air box and k&n filter as it is, they may be comedy or whatever but im purely just after the noise. im not expecting the car 2 be any faster. i just needed to know if it will still be safe and not restrictive. ill just try it i guess best way.

you want the K&N cone filter for the most noise, its loud!

you could even re-route it back into the cabin and have it sticking out of the glove compartment, then it would be reeeally loud! \:P

stay away from crudspeed.
there going to be far to restrictive for your engen. there designed to go on a 1.2 corsa ect. not a 2ltr turbo. it will be far to restrictive

the drilled air box with a k&N filter will do a nice grouly induction sound

if you insist on a cone. go for a apex or K&N 57i. the apex is less maintance and will probably take longer to kill your MAF

Either drill the airbox or fit an extra bit of piping tot he side of the airbox. That increases the induction noise and helps the breathing at the top end.
