where are you going to set the rev limit with that big turbo? Rev mean pub numbers and not falling out of the power band so pretty high I am guessing? (for the power band not the pub \:D ) 7500rpm or more?

Is this a drag car mainly?

Hi, it is not my main car, but it is def not a drag car, the last 14 days i have going 1000 km in the car,and it is still very driveable, and it is doing 10km pr 1l fuel, so i think it is still very good. (special when i did only make 10.5/1l when it was standard).

On my full throttle is now set to 5500, but have not be able to test it correctly.

Ofcourse they would be more lag on a gt3582 than on a smaller turbo, but it begin to boost from 2800 and have full bosst 1.6 at 4800 rpm.

and what pump is feeding the swirl pump, your walbro 255? - I thought there was an OE swirl pot in the tank so it speak, (read a plastic bucket the pump sits it to stop surge etc)

so, start cutting fuel ;\)
top of your curve should come down a bit!
Max should be around 5500 and then it should drop (not massively!)

Wonder who of the big power guys are on stock fuel lines and filter...

Start with the fuel line pretty easy job (3 hours), you can still use the same holder.

Kenneth - I had a similar problem (boost creep up high) I actually managed to fix mine by smoothing the bends into the wastegate - I had a right angle pipe coming off the exhaust to the wastegate and the gases would rather go straight through the turbo than turn down the wastegate pipe, I fixed it by changing the angle into the wastegate pipe to something more flowing

May not work but might be worth a try as 60mm gates are expensive \:o

well those 60mm gates are not that expencive..
those chinese people make good 60mm gates \:D
140usd, including delivery already.
local turbo shop here said, that there are some good and some bad chinese gates :
good: 38,46mm tial copy, 60mm ( purple, w-pand )
bad : hks copy 40, 50mm ( need to modify,rebuild, then ok )

Sorry Kenneth - I don't , I have a odd setup with the wastegate coming off the turbine snail - but the principle is the same. I would assume you have a wastegate coming off at right angles from the collector?

It may not work - depends how restrictive your wastegate bend is

Otherwise, like you say it's a 60mm gate

Sorry for the delay , but my main project, seems to take a little more time..

Here a smaller modf. I would use the 20vt inlet manifold, as they seem to much better designed (as the only thing on that model :-)

I would need to repaint, and installed it tomoorow.

Kenneth - looking good

Which throttle body and you going to use? and given the extra lenght is there still plently of room or does it mean the battery has to go to the boot to give the required space?
