mines on 137k at the moment and still going strong.

My 16vt is on its original turbo and I'm at 127k

My car needed a new one in November at 22k miles!!! No doubt exarcebated by the Gtec, but still...!

133-135k I believe on the inky I had. Shame recon units don't seem to last that long

I know adam16vt is still running my old vt6 on the original turbo, and it's done over 150k now.

McMike had done 225k iirc last time I saw him.

Joe did say he knew of somebody who is still on the original turbo at 170k+ miles. Mine's being re-mapped on thursday, hope it doesn't finish the old turbs off.

Joe78 is correct, mines just shy of 150k to be precise, no smoke that I know of, still pulls well.

When it was up at jbt I was surprised when he didn't mention it whatsoever

120k ish is common now but not many have original lump.

Mines just about to roll round 130k still on the original turbo and engine. No smoke and was rolling roaded at 229bhp running 1.2 bar in February this year. It's on it's 3rd clutch though!

If looked after the turbos are strong units.

My original 16VT turbo lasted to about 110K before it stopped giving any boost. No smoke, just stopped doing anything. There is a little lateral movement of the shaft when dry but not enough to stop it rotating.

Fitted a new one and all was well.

A mystery, but I should have a good basis for a professional rebuild some day.

MC's is not the original Turbo Johnny - not at the speed that one goes!

Mine is on 188k and as far as I know is the original turbo - it was only on 34k when I got the car. Still going OK and now being used for hillclimbing so hope it carries on for a while longer.
