with our in-house RR operator Matty running the dyno. Day starts at about 10am but you can turn up a bit earlier if you fancy. 2 power runs will be completed for £30.

You can also get various technical advice (good or bad ) from the assortment of coupe owners on-hand.

i,ve got myself a gtec1 & if Matty or somone could reroute my boost guage & stick my clock back in(i would pay extra) i would be up for it .....Cant get over what an old git i looked in the photos, compared to the young dudes

i still dont know really, got a new prv from jap and that solved it straight away, just goes straight to 1.2 bar and stays there until it starts to tail off, dont know if the prv that baz lent me on the day wasnt working quite right or something, still think i have a boost leak somewhere though as did the boost leak test and can hear a hissing sound from near the inlet manifold but just cant locate it, at least it has stopped the overboosting though so quite happy

Might be one of the rubber donut seals on the inlet manifold?

tried feeling around them and putting water over them as well as soapy bubbles but just cant locate it, wondered if it might be the rocker cover gasket as it looks as if it has had a bodge fix applied to it at some point, have done the test a few times but just cant find it

I was speaking the Noel again yesterday and he`s keen to go to this RR meet I might even pop up again just to see if a set of clean injectors make a difference too .

Anyway I would be well up for coming to this - plus the coupe isnt seeing much action at the moment as putting the miles on the work van. Still would be really keen to see how the old girl fairs - plus Baz has had his hands all over her for recent disc/pad upgrade and MOT so she's running sweet a sa nut at the moment! One of our supplers had a bring your own night at knockhill and it was awesome - spanked a few motors and went back a few weeks later whcih means i now know how to put it round without losing half the treat of my tyres! I dont know how much this costs but it would be great if we could get a night like that for us lot next year - if you go to the full marques night i think its about 60 quid for two hours - if we had about 20 of us (could include non coupes??) it would probably be something similar i would have thought (correct me anyone who has looked into this before!).

Nice to see everyone today and glad that there were no casualties. I do, however, feel that there was definately potential for more boost....

I got 280 bhp and 260 lbft of torque, roughly which is about what I'd thought. Running a bit rich and idle is still all over the place so it'll be interesting to see what a remap will achieve.

Well on the road home I was pushing the car a wee bit more now that I know the fuelling was ok and I think I can feel the slightly increased torque and the car definitely seems quicker but I don`t know if that`s just down to the increased boost compared to before .

TBH I was slightly disappointed that I never got the bhp hike I thought I would get with fitting the Gtec1 chip,especially when Sparky`s Coop has pretty much same level of mods but there was around 30bhp of a difference .

I guess i`ll see what I get with the chargecooler and GM EBV fitted and if that doesn`t satisfy then i`ll probably head down the well-trodden path of FMIC+better turbo (I can`t believe I just said that ) .
