my only small niggle (and I mean tiny) is that when switching to full beams it takes a while for these to become bright That is a function of how HID's work and anyone fitting HID's should be aware of this before deciding to buy/fit (and that's why I will never fit HID's for main beam, too risky IMHO, and with HID's for dipped, you don't need full beam HID's)

Hey, hey, Fitted the HID's for main beam yesterday. Threw the brackets in the skip, I just used strong adhesive pads instead. They make quite a difference. Yes they take a few seconds to warm up initially but once they're hot, they're hot to trot! I was shocked with the difference between dipped beam and full beam; almost like going from darkness to daylight. I'm convinced they're nuclear powered or something Yup, very impressed with my 40 mins of handywork I even managed to get 2 ballasts located under each headlamp assembly without hitting any engine components. Sweeeeeeeeeet!

Pheeewwww... glad it's back safe and sound Lights are lookin really good, amazing what a difference they make to the coupe's apperrance of the car. I read it on a thread here before that they really are the most impressive, inexpensive and functional modernising "facelift" item you can get for the coupe. Projector dipped lights, and clear lenses lend themselves so well to the HID upgrade!!

When i first fitted them, they were tempermental like this (suit the fiat down to the ground) As i'v used them more and more they are becoming more reliable; always start the car with them off; always let the mains be on for 30secs before the highs, as the hotter they are the quicker they come back on. If it gets worse then i'd investigate all the connections are all firmly... er... connected Did all the lights go out and never came on agin?

This is getting confusing- main and high beam? Main beam is the 'high' beam. The one you flash with or use on quiet dark roads. Dipped beam is normal night driving lights. I've ordered a set of these so will report when they're in
F****** b****** thing...

I'v always understood that the "main beam" are those used most - i.e the "dipped beam" The full beam or "high beam" is seperate and (for me anyway) not used mainly. They are a great addition to the car either way Trappy, no matter what you call'em

To be honest this is the first time I have ever heard anyone refer to "main beam" when they are talking about dipped lights!

(never really gived them a chance, must of been off for about 5 secs) canny mental, with two cars coming the other way aswell. Yes I did have this problem with some of the early 55w kits I trialed. There wasn't an answer I could find. It just seems that some sets (not just the cheap ones) have this problem - they're very very sensitive to their input voltage. The 55w kits I supply now (occasionally) don't have this problem. If these cheapy kits work though they are a bargain. James
