Anonymous Unregistered A	Thanks guys. Took weeks to get the right yellow. Tried Lambo midas gold, Lambo sunburst yellow. Loads of blind alleys before Paints 4U in Scunthorpe gave Andy, my sprayer Lambo base chrome yellow over which he laid a modified gold pearl then 4 coats of clear. I've just taken some shots of the car but the weather let me down. Yesterday it showed a yellow so bright it hurt to stare at it, but every returned edge showed a pale orangey gold highlight. The tints are in place and the interior, including the stereo fascia plate, gearknob, speaker grilles and dash/door cappings have all been done. This is my 1998 20vt, pretty standard apart from a debadged bonnet, later grill, Momo gear knob and Brembo cross drilled discs. At the moment anyway! Anonymous Unregistered A	Thanks. From what i can gather - a normal mopping would use G3 - that flattens some of the paint / laquer to take away blemishes, and is then polished up afterwards. They guys who done mine used something called SSR (Sprayless Scratch Repair) so it doesn't take any layers off the car. The car still has very slight swirl marks in the paint - but is a lot better than it was. It has also covered up some minor scratches which was a bonus!
