Hi all I have from reading things and talking to a member on here found out that my car has been chipped. On Tuesday I intend to inform my insurer. AFAIK as the last owner had and had not fitted a chip they were unaware of this fact. So could not have told me.
How is an insurer likely to take this?

finally I am intending to implement this

as an over boost protection with an in car PVR

Will this add to the cost of my policy?
I'm with Noel Dazely & Co.

TIA

Almost certainly, but phone to check. ND are quite bad at charging for policy changes too

that is a real bummer. I may just leave it at home a while and find a standard chip. the over boost protection thing surely is a safety feature?

I'll call them though.

I found ND ok for addng mods.

If say your premium increases, just decrease the value of the car.
