has anyone used THESE brake discs / pads. i need to replace the standard pads and for a little extra can gets the grooved discs. wondered if anyone has had problems with the warping etc.

Not tried them, just remember this brakes are the most important part of a car, and for a little more you can get some that you know are tried and tested.

im more than confident that these are not dangerous if thats what you mean!? and there gonna be better than standard ones its just if anyone has used them.

these will be standard cheap discs, with grooves cut into them

You might as well fit bog-standard discs - the grooves don't do much on a standard road car

Its the pads the make the biggest difference - great pads on poor discs will be a LOT better that poor pads on great discs

Mintex extreme are pretty good

However, I'd be tempted to ask Alternative Autos for a quote on their stuff

(actually, I'd be tempted to hit the credit card and buy some proper brakes - see the latest Pagid Group Buy)

cheers nigel, good info, thought they'd gotta be cheap for a reason. think if im gonna do it i might as well do it properly, will check out that group buy.

Hi ,
well I have them fitted to my 16vT,
and as nigel says they are standard grooved discs,
dont really notice the difference.
but they cheap
