There is plenty of other track time available, the 30 minutes is for coupes only.
Nothing to stop anyone going round with the Ferraris, Lambos etc in the open Scuderia sessions.

You do need a crash hat though.

Kelv,

Is it not the Coupé only session that is just 30 minutes?

I am sure that the guys had two one hour stints last year, one on the Saturday and one on the sunday Morning. To be honest most of them left the track before the hour was up, Spa appears to be quite hard on the Coupé brakes when you are attacking the track.

Also last year quite a few Coupés participated in the Scuderia unlimited sessions, running alongside Italian exotica, race Cars etc

The parade sessions were also good fun. No helmets but out alongside plenty of fine Italian machinery. There was not too much sign of restriction when I was running either \:D

I am sure you could, if you wanted, spend ALL weekend on the track, but it would be mighty expensive \:o

Putting the car o the trailer and driving there! Depends on what the sailing schedules are when Norkolkline take ove the Rosyth - Zebrugge sailing. Ideally i will use this service which will mean as little driving as possible but i get the feeling if i want to be there first thing Saturday morning then i might have to be Dover - Calais or the Tunnel. Remember i'm in the van so i'll be going a lot slower than cars.

From Zeebrugge it's about 150 miles to Spa. From Calais it's about 220 miles ish.

What are you thinking about?

Re-track time i'll be purchasing as many as i can afford espcially the Scuderia sessions. Spa is afterall one of the only rear F1 tracks left and to get the chance to let the coupe loose on it is a major box ticked of things to do.

Marco

Marco,

I was actually more keen on taking the sail from Rosyth to avoid the long drive to dover..

However..think i might have to pull out..just checked Norfolklines prices..£230 outbound and £400 for the return journey..making that £630 return! \:o

Not to mention the 20 hour ferry ride

By the way..theres a ferry leaving Rosyth on the Thursday 11th so that should give you plenty of time to get to spa for Saturday?

I know but i don't really want to be there on friday night if i can help it. I'd rather arrive saturday.

The ferry is very good and you would get a cabin just the same as the Hull - Zebrugge which is the only other option.

Dover - Calais is only £120 for a car IIRC and the tunnel is much the same, cheaper at non-peak times.

To make things easier for people in the UK, the club is transferring funds to Baby_cash to cover 5 entries this weekend.

3 of these entries have been allocated, if you would like to be included please let me know. If necessary I can increase the quantity but I need to know rapidly.

Just to remind you, the cost is 60 euros for the entire weekend including 30 minutes on the F1 circuit solely among fellow coupe enthusiasts.

I will tell you the exact pounds cost when I have seen the exchange rate we get, expect around £1.00 to the euro.
You will save having to pay the excessive charges UK banks make on European money transfers.

Baby_cash has confirmed receipts from Magooagain, Sparco and McMike.

Pete.

The cost for the remaining 2 admissions is £55.48 each. PM me if you would like one of them and I will tell you how to pay the Club.

We got 1.082 exchange rate.

I have transferred payment for 2 cars into the club account (me and my old man), please can you confirm this has been recieved Pete?

The plan for our trip, is to head down to Spa on Friday 12th and then obviously attend the Spa event.

Then after this we are going to head down to the Nurburgring, for 4 days.

There are evening sessions everynight of that week and on the following friday, it is a full afternoon.
So should hopefully get a few quiet(ish) laps.
Anyone else who fancies Nurburgring is more than welcome to come with us.

Sounds like a good idea Mike. Could meet you on the M1 somewhere. Would be really good if we got on the same ferry as well! Had a really quick look the other night, and found them to be around £50 return. Cheap as chips

I'm almost certainly going to go with the French club's choice of hotel, 4* hotel at a 3* price.

Going on Friday too. Unfortunately Speedferries have gone tits up owing me 7 crossings, so still trying to find a good deal.

Ifyou paid speed ferries by credid card ,you may be able to claim it on their gaurentee.
LD lines .com are operating from there now,i booked my transit for £80 return yesterday.Boulogne/Dover. For febuary.I think a car was £48.

Thanks Joe,

I've been onto the credit card company since November, still not got my money back yet (£175.00)

I have just had a look a LD.co.uk, certainly cheap at £30.00 return dover Boulogne, but there is only 1 Sunday sailing at 16.15 which is a bit early.

Sea France want £91 return for the same day Dover Calais.

I'll keep digging round and will post what I find.

Just been looking at ferries.
The cheapest i have found is from Norfolkline which sails from Dover to Dunkirk.
Price varies depending on the time you travel but i will probably be going for the 12pm sailing on friday 12th june at the cost of £28

It looks like I will go on LDlines Dover to Boulogne Friday morning for £24 then return Sunday evening via eurotunnel at 20:20 for £49.

Baby-Cash has told me that there is the possibility of an 0900 to 0930 coupe only track session on Sunday.
If we can get a total of 30 takers (both clubs), the cost will be 33 euros for the session.

Please post your interest.
