hello, im a 16vt owner and im thinking of buying a 20vt as well.[want one of each] the 20vt i have in mine need's a new engine but he want's £500 and apart from that the car is bang on[broom yellow]. would it work out cheaper to buy it and stick a new lump in or would it be better to just buy a 20vt from somewere else? is £500 ok for what id be getting? or is it a bit much for a car that need's a new lump? any advice would be recived with thank's
£500 is about right for a car that needs a new engine if everything else is fine. New engine would be about £500 plus the fitting. If you can do it yourself its even cheaper.
You should also think about changing the belts/cam sensor/clutch at the same time.
the only thing is that i could of done it bit by bit. dont think i can afford to just go out and buy one,not until i can find some more work anyway. is my signiture small enough does anyone no?
