How much effort was required to clean up the perspex covers?

what do they know?

Took ages to get the plastic covers into shape, they were scratched a lot, about 3 hrs on each using everything I had, wet and dry, polish wheel, rubbing compound, autosol, t-cut and brasso (used in that order).

I agree with you nigel, I want to see what they look like on the car, if I don't like them i'll sell them on!

ive got mine out at the moment ,hope i can get the lenses to come up as good as you have

Fair play to you Mr C you have made a good job there.
I do think though, its one of those changes you have to see on the car in the flesh so to speak.

Im in the middle of refurbing headlight lenses myself,& I know what a task it is

i have wondered what colour coded lights would look like on a sprinty hope to see a pic when you swap them over

How did you do the rocker cover?

Rocker cover took a long time too! First soaked it in diet coke etc for 1 week, didn't work. Used alloy wheel cleaner, didn't work but it started to get cleaner. Autosoled with wirewool, slowly got there but still not happy! So I bought a power washer and gave it a good blasting, got cleaner but not to the finish I was looking for so I bought some high temp paint and slowly sprayed the cover and ended to this as new finish!

lights look very good chris just need to get them fitted and i think your like the change and the rocker cover has turned out better than i thort it would . you can start on my one now

Good work on the the lights, I've got a spare set I should really polish up and sell on.

Got to be honest i much prefer the lights in black on all coupes, my first coupe was red with red lights and i hated them so bought a black set.

To be honest I'm not too sure ether, if you know my coupe then I'm a great fan of keeping in as standard as poss. Just wanted to have a play as these lights are my spare set, and as you mentioned I can always covert them back to black!

Mr C where the head lights hard to do?

i wanted to do mine LE silver or re-do them black!

they are easy when you know how to do them marco , there is a how to on how to split the lights and then its just down to elbow grease .
