I'd like that as well.

All I can offer is a ride in my breathtakingly standard car (although it's been in AutoItalia, don't you know nerd!)

Get there early, but not so early as to get *my* space!
Bring lots of film, or electric film if you have an electric camera.
Bring an umbrella.
Bring comfy shoes; you'll spend some time indoors at the museum, some just walking on concrete paving, and some scrambling up the side of the test track; could be muddy.
And a folding chair or two as you'll no doubt spend some time with the club just gassing...
Food is available but it sounds like barbies are allowed; I'd recommend those throwaway ones but make sure it's out and disposed of.
There are decent toilet facilities on the site.

Oh yeah, forgot that, I'd have had to have used the umbrella which I'd no doubt have forgotten.

At the moment the forecast is sunny with showers later in the afternoon, but it's always a bit vague at this distance.

I'll be coming from Oxford down the M40 and then round the M25 about 9 to 9.30-ish - if anyone fancies a convoy, let me know smile

As for other stuff to bring - someone is more than welcome to bring a bucket and sponge and clean my car laugh

Good suggestion - if anyone brings a pressure washer, foam lance, 0ppm water supply, TWO buckets, grit guards, 2 pure wool wash mitts, clay bar, random-orbital polisher, pads, compounds, sealant, wax & final glaze they're more than welcome to clean mine wink

Hello,

I'm going to the show but I'm not sure if I am a fully fledged member of FCCUK yet - I only got registered on the website yesterday.

Would I be welcome at the stand ?
Maybe I could sign up properly at the same time ?

Anthony.

If you have ANY bits and bobs stick them in the car, I am sure you should receive some interest in the items.

I remember last year that drinks / cans etc were quite expensive on site. Might be an idea to stick a few in a cool bag, or fill up your FCCUK flask smile

Marco - stick a for sale sign in your window along with a few details on the car. I did so at a previous AI with my old Coupe and got plenty of interest.

I 'might' be able to get along to this event. Only just spent the day at Bristol Auto Italia event the weekend just gone, so going to have to sweet talk the other half before I can confirm...

Sorry to hear that Ash.

Might be a daft question but never been there before so when we roll up how will you know if the FCCUK stand is already fully parked up so that we might need to park elsewhere. Probably rolling up at 11am so highly likely. The Brooklands website is stating "Italian cars only parking on Museum site. All other cars follow signs to additional parking in The Heights".
Otherwise I'll just chance my arm and see how close I can get on the day.

In case anyone needs to satnav if the directions / postcode is:

http://www.brooklandsmuseum.com/index.php?/your-visit/how-to-get-here/ off the B374, just a few minutes from Junction 10 of the M25 and the A3 London to Portsmouth trunk road. Leave the A3 at the Painshill junction (A245) and follow the brown ‘Brooklands Museum’ signs.
