on a standed turbo?? i must be doing something wrong, only got 270 on a hybrid superspool, did get 280 but there was a spike in it. unless my boost controller isnt set up right. just bought a gtir and a pro alloy fmic so hoping for 290bhp this time, might crank it upto 1.3.. going there on the 24th. smile

if he gets 280bhp on a standard, i think that i will go back standard as i get 286bhp on a GTiR hybrid @ 1.35bar

i would say 275bhp

it made 250bhp last time at 1bar boost graph below

Went on today with a new turbo ebc and dv and ran at 1,2bar,results below

Not bad eh? tongue i`m well happy as you can guess,But John said it was running a little lean at the top so we ran it at 1.1bar,results below

Fast and safe smile John said i should do the fuel pump wiring mod to try and help the fueling so i can run 1.2 bar.
smile cool smile cool smile cool smile driving cloud9

Hmmm, don't want to break that cloud 9 feeling on a Friday night but it's not quite what it seems.

You are running really lean, at both boost levels, too lean for a turbo car.

In terms of power, well you are really only looking at 240-260bhp maximum, the standard turbo simply can't give any more on your setup.

What levels of fueling levels would you work between? and how what would you do to remedy this problem?
Where are you based Flea?

Almost 400 Nm with original turbo. WOW! That turbo will not last for long tongue

How much HP did you get on the wheels?

Scals coupe is showing 14+ until 4500rpm dropping to the 13s and then high 12s at redline. This is incredibly lean if the figures are accurate, the worst I have ever seen on a coupe. It is a problem because cylinder temps will be high, ignition will be retarded, detonation will be prevalent and if unchecked pre-ignition can quickly take hold meaning melted pistons within seconds.

Coupes in general like to run in the mid 11s. To keep things in check for good power and safety, 12s coming on boost and 11s when on full boost to the redline. There is no definitive target AFR, it depends on the application but for a road going turbo car it's just about right.

Oh and I'm based in Bristol.

As Flea has said, if that AFR readings are accurate your car is running too lean.
