It's only a temp measure Dave, looks 100% better, should keep the tin worm at bay having spent 3 hours soaked in Jenolite. I'll be doing the engine bay properly over the winter, everything but the engine out so I can get into all the nooks.

that's ok then, i remember painting an old lawn mower with it and about a month later trying to rub it down but it was all sticky still under the surface. just to keep you happy to i'm gonna be taking more pics of my coupe as i do it and upload them on the pc in work when no-ones looking!!

had a very quiet week this week but will be back on it next week with a vengeance!! my spare cyclinder head goes in for a full recondition on monday, i have a new cambelt kit so just need a new water pump now then can get it all back together, will just need a few other new bits before i can get it up and running though

Thanks guys, it's been a struggle to be interested, I've nearly gone for a replacement (coop) a couple of times recently, but non of them would held a candle to this car once it finished, a fresh lick of paint and a few jobs and she'll be as good as they get without throwing silly money at them!
She might even have a fibre glass bonnet, I haven't quite decided yet, it's a gamble that one.
