was just chatting to a mate of a very good mate, who lo & behold in my local area builds mega muscle cars & works with NRE, he was telling me about genuine 800hp monsters that he has built ( which he called mild ! )...

I am booking a visit to his workshop next week for a chat about parts !!

he did mention about tons of stuff he is getting involved in with jap stuff, but struck me as odd, when he said he only has just got into boost controllers, as all his stuff is NA

You wouldn't want one of those engines anyway Taz, they weigh a lot. Last time I was at lightspeed they were rebuilding a Dodge Viper engine. The block was enormous, like two rows of our engines.

One thing I do like about living in North America is that there are lots of muscle cars (old and new), you can never have enough of the sound a big V8 makes.

800hp NA! Jesus - even out of a 6.2 litre engine isn't that a ridiculously huge amount of power?

I mean Mercedes don't get 800hp out of lumps this size and unless I'm mistaken they're quite good at making engines?

How much would you expect to pay for one of these things?
