S. Wales. Way beyond my means
I sold my Porto blue 20V N/A about 4 years ago (P343FNT) and have missed it ever since... instead I went for the cheaper option of motorbikes. I've had 5 bikes in that time and a helluva alot of fun. wink Trouble is, I like cars more than bikes and I think the constant wind buffeting is making me deaf (plus the constant fear of getting wiped out)!

So, do I buy a Coup and return to the fold? My questions are:

1. What's the insurance like these days for a 20VT based on say value of £2000, average area, limited mileage (5,000) classic/cherished type policy? I think I used to pay around £500 for my N/A.

2. How much are warranties or shouldn't I bother..

3. Are Turbos really THAT much more to run? (excluding petrol)

4. Will I be bankrupt in a year?

I admit I am on a budget, but I think I'm ready for a 20VT.

1. Check out some insurance comparisson sites for quotes. Shouldn't be too hard to find that out.

2. Warranties I've no idea

3. I've no idea, but if it's a turbo u really want then I'd suggest buy carefully and get the turbo, or you'll spend your time thinking, I should have gone for the turbo.

4. I've no idea, I run mine on a tight budget and (here I go again) find a good independent autoparts shop and you'll be surprised. At a rough guess I've spent less than £500 a year on maintance and repairs in the past 2.5 years.

This year may see that rise but then I'm due a belt change and new tyres.
