I've had a few 'nice car !' comments but another comment sticks in my mind... was just getting out the car outside my house one day last year and a local kid about 10 walked past and shouted 'small willy !!!! ' I was a bit speachless ! little B*****D !

But have also been complimented several times at petrol stations etc on such a great car.....

I had a 15 y/o lad on work experience with me last week, I took him out in the coop to go to a meeting and he said "Now THIS is the car they should have bought on top Gear for your first car, it doesn't get cooler than this!"

I then went on to explain how its pretty unlikely it would be a first car as technically its group 20 insurance. I then subsequently had to explain what insurance groups were.

So he at least learnt something that week!

Someone last night asked me if it was a citroen.

So the Coupe gets called a Ferrari, Maserati, Alfa....and now a Citreon?!?

When I brought the red 16VT home last week my daughter 3 shouted Ooooooooh Fashion Model!! She has been in and out of it pretending to drive all week!

I went past a few kids on their bikes yesterday, all i heard was "it's a fiat". Be it good or bad that's all that was said!

I've had a couple of kids tell me "nice car!".

Also my neighbour came and told me how he'd always liked the coupe while I was washing it. He even knew enough to ask if it was the 16 or 20 valve version. Which was nice. Had a quick chat about it, I told him that they were more reliable than people thought if looked after after he queried costs etc.

What I didn't tell him was that promply after finishing washing it I went out for a drive and the throttle cable snapped ... Tee-hee-hee!

Not a kids comment, but from the Auto-Valet manager at the Mall i work at, this is what he said "Was that you i seen driving the little girly Fiat thing when you came in today". My reply was, You obviously dont know much bout cars for being a Valet Manager. That kept his mouth shut, lol!!

I get the occasional "Nice car, mate", from passing kids.

My favourite was from Autoglass, when I went to get the windscreen repaired. Admittedly the car is debadged. But, unbelievably when I arrived I was checked in by the reception chap. Then asked to drive the car into the workshop area. The actual window repair engineer then came out to do the work. His first words, "Nice...what is it?" I said "Fiat Coupe", to which he replied, "THATS a Fiat?!!". You'd have thought he'd know his cars, working within the car industry...

Mine was parked behind a mates gates one time and one of his nephews friends (about 10!) asked "'ere mister, is that car staying here tonight?"
This was in Ferryhill mind you!
