Doody, black wheels look good on a yellow Coupe.

Although if you buy Azev's, I think they are best left as silver smile

Black wheels might be to some taste, but I personally don't understand why you would then pick up a specific expensive type of wheel. I just think the black hides all the subtle details of a nice wheel. It's like black cars - I only would spec a black car if I don't really like the lines of the car I'm buying. All the details are lost.

There... probably the first time I've vented my personal opinion on here. Rest assured I'm still doing it in a very balanced way. (Because I just hate completely black wheels.)

I love my black wheels cool . The one thing that is essential though is to make sure your tyres are nice and black too.

Black alloys and washed out grey tyres is not a good look frown (like in my sig pic just now rolleyes ).

Baz smile

hmmm this has really got me thinking, I've got a wine red coupe, and think the standard wheels sprayed may look fantastic. Prob not black but anthracite... Anyone seen this or like to share their opinion?

Black wheels on a Wine Red, may look a bit too dark, but if you want a dark Coupe, then they'd look ok.

Otherwise, yes, anthracite would look better smile

For me, it's regardless of whether black wheels are fitted to the Coupe or any other make & model. It's just black wheels tend to make the tyre look grey, as said above.

I'd be constantly using tyre shine stuff to keep them looking dark against the black wheel if it were my car.

I guess I just associate black/dark wheels with being dirty, and bright alloy/silver wheels with looking fresh and clean.

smile

Black wheels are ace. I have fitted 5 different sets to mine now and they all look good, especially if you have red calipers. Anthracite is also lovely but I've been having quite a few requests for white recently. BTW I may have a set of 17" satin powder coated anthracite grey Kei Force 10s coming in with Falken tyres in as new condition...

I think black wheels suit coupes with the black strip and no skirts, std wheels in black.
They seem to look great on the naples colour or whatever the maroony/purpley colour is called
