Judging by the PM I just got, I don't think this Martin has a sense of humour to go along with his missing knowledge of group buys

how much weight do you save with one of these?
and does it make enough difference to improve handling/acceleration?
just out of interest...

15kg weight loss i imagine would help a bit but its not as much as i would have though. i would say if you went on a serious front end diet you could strip about 60kg out the front which would help handling alot.
that said acceleration wise you actually want to keep the weight at the front and make sure it doesn't transfere to the rear as it help traction and thats a fwd cars biggest problem so i would say suspenssion setup in most important for that but once rolling any weight off will help.

I drove a full day with a carbon bonet on my coupe, big diffrance in apex handling and turn in,all-so ride comfort at the front was better-less bouncing.
The carbon bonet{made here}is only 8-9 kg

Interesing to hear how a lightweight bonnet copes with the light fittings etc. Is it an easy fit and does the weight flex the bonnet when opened?
Also, has anyone checked what do the insurance companies say? Do they regard it as a 'performance' mod and possibly an implication for safety/crash protection?

Did anyone hear how this fella got on?
Just realised how local the seller is to me too, I think it may be worth a call.
