Tried Camskill etc., but they only do track tyres. I want full racing slicks though.

The only one I can see that you have a chance with keeping the standard rim is "ET Street Radial" "3793R" they are 255/50/16. I’m not sure how you would get them to clear but I reckon you might be able to.

Yeah, I was just looking through the catalogue. I don't think they would fit.
I want them for track days and drag racing so I don't want to try to squuze an oversized tyre on the rim...

I'm not after drag tyres as I said. So, I want something with a strong side wall. I was thinking about 888's or something similar, but thought I would compare them with full slicks if I could find them.
Since I would be fitting them on a spare set of wheels, I would not need road legal tyres.

Micky Thompson make road legal drag spec tyres, they have cuts in them and are E marked too. They are still absolutely zero use on track though. The obvious choices are 888s, DZ02Gs etc. If you are not worried about driving on the road then a full on slick, just make sure you can use them at the track of choice. Alternatively, take them to a tyre place where they cut them with a basic tread pattern.

You are forgetting the Kumho V70 trackday/road legal tyre.
Kumho V70 is a much better tyre than the 888,s. The V70 is E marked and therefore road legal.
I watched 2 race cars try both types of tyres for a few hours round a race track a few weeks back and the Kumhos were better in the corners by a mile according to both drivers. Also the lap times were 0.3 of a second faster aswell for both car.

I beg to differ. I've used both and the Toyo R888 holds up much better for a heavy strong car like the 20VT. The Kumho's just deteriated, big chunks flew off no matter which pressure I used. Grip worse too. That said, it was the mid-hard compound so the "hard compound" maybe is better. But I still think it's for tinier cars.
