the 6 speed gearbox? (surely its a heavier box) is the 6th gear just a cruizing gear or are the gear ratio's any different. so does it accelerate exactly the same, faster or slower if both std and fresh out the box if you get what I mean

Also from memory I think the top end of 5th is actually higher than 6th, but either way the latter is definitely the cruising gear.

Ive had both and didnt notice any better fuel economy with the LE and both much the same drive. 6th gear is nicer to sit on the motorway crusing at putting less load on the car.

lol i must admit i would love a l.e but it would have to be in the right colour! the red in the seats doesn't go with most the colours. vince grey, black or red that is it.

Indeed, remove the red and replace the red starter button with a nice polished silver one. Oh wait, that's a plus isn't it

I think the holes in the LE discs must make them much lighter! Though the dark paint on the wheels must be heavier.

Haha very conclusive guys, I must say the seats are sooo comfy, if I could respray the red inserts on the seats black I would. Mine hasn't got the red and black gearnob that's been replaced by one from a plus and the handbreak is not red and black either so it just helps break up the pimpy interior that little bit, I think the le designers did get carried away with it, I'm still not sure if I can handle the rear lights sorounds being grey???? Why????? Anyway does anyone actually know if the trim aside the le weighs more than a 5sp 20vt due to the 6speed gear box lol
