They dont like dumps at all. Im really suprised that a £100 part can affect insurance so much. Is it worht being a naughty boy and not telling them ? I know theres the risk of the policy being void but you need a dump with the turbo.

No, it's not worth being a naughty boy and not telling them. You risk a world of pain that you really wouldn't enjoy at all. Either pay the extra or accept that turbo's work fine without a dump valve

My friend has a focus RS and he got around paying a lot extra for his dumpvalve because the car has one as standard, although its a recirclating type as the atomospheric ones add no performance they just charged him and admin charge for changing details on the policy.
I should of tried this with mine! lol

Why not swap back to the original Bosch valve? They're only about £20 from you local VAG dealer.

It does make more noise however if you have a drilled airbox
And it would make even more noise if you filled it with Semtex and lit it

You're getting charged extra for a dump valve sounds like a cr@p ins company to me.

you shouldn`t be paying extra for having a dump valve, as it isn`t actually a mod, they had one as standard

It doesn't matter, technically, if you fit anything to your car which isn't bog-standard trim, even factory extras, then your insurance company need to be told.
Even if you don't use the original fit tyres that's a material difference.
Strange, but true.

Just to let you know we could add a dump valve to a quotation free of charge.
