I think there is a certain advance in my 16" R-tires over my 18" streetwheels:

With those the car feels a little heavier and strangly enough; it's a little wobbly at the rear at speeds with 18", totally gone with my 16".
Can be because of the 16" Toyo R888 against my 18" GoodYear F1 Assymetric?

I had 18s on my 20vt when I bought it. It handled fine and I didn't notice any real difference in performance over my 17s. They looked great (they were black) but I love my 5 spoke blades so transferred them off my old Coupe and onto the one in my sig, and eventually sold the 18s to the guy that bought my VIS off me!

per your car looks stunning. i am not really keen on silver coops but with those wheels on they look lovely.

what i am thinking is i might be able to get either some cheap 16" wheels to roll with over the winter to save my 18's getting to road damaged or some yoko a048 semi slicks for the 16's and keep them for great fun in the summer.
while i have the 18's on i can refurb the 16's in my own time without any problems or rush.
if money gets tight i can put the 16's back on and sell the 18's or refurbed standard wheels with road legal track tyres sell for alot of money.
