Orange is lovely Would like to see it when it is done certainly. I would however go with Anthracite instead of black as a previous post says. It contrasts a little too much for me.

people in glass houses.... Will have large winter heating bills? Nice idea on a coupe, i like the colour though i suspect we wont see anyone from our forum with it. Realistically speaking the cost is too prohibitive.

^ Indeed, I will place money on the project not going ahead. Its nice to have a dream however and ill not take that away from any one. Some times dreams is all we have
They however do...occasionally come to light and become real...JKD prove the doubters wrong (inc me!) and indeed spray your coupe orange. Ill be the first to shake your hand on a job well done
taste is all subjective....if you gain joy from looking at your coupe however, who gives a monkey what else any one thinks?

I think orange is the 'Wendy Craig' of the coupe colours... Only joking - should look nice - although get ready for the "You know when you've been tango'd" comments I have seen a UK orange Coop before - last summer on the M5 at the Exeter turn-off - anyone else seen that one around?

By saying orange is the 'Daniel Craig' of the Coupe colours what I meant is everyone thought that Daniel Craig would be a crap James Bond and he turned out to be good. In the same way, I hope orange will be a surprise hit! Clever joke eh? Of course if orange does turn out to be crap I think I'll have to make my Coop invisible like the Aston Martin Vanquish in Die Another Day. Problem is... there seems to be a LOT of different types of oranges! I mean look at and compare it to and then with

personally i like the first colour the best. It's just flat bright orange and not metallics. flat orange looks better in my opinion!

also notice that all those cars are photgraphed in sunny countries where you can get away with bright bold colours! on a wet miserable day in the UK it would just look so out of place!
by the way, that Ford GT is such a sexy looking car, I want one...in any colour....

Seems it will be a few weeks before I am able to get the respray done. Been messing about with different bumper combos Cada - seems this will be too much hassle going over speed bumps, so not worth it. PIU - the bumper itself doesn't look too aftermarket, yet seems to suit the aftermarket nature of the orange. So hopefully, my Coupe should look like this but with honeycomb grill and LE sideskirts.

JKD, Out of interest.....if you don't mind me being a bit cheeky how far are you going with this and whats the cost? have you talked to any body shops about quotes? You mention its going to be a few weeks, that soon?
When you get the color change, are you having everything gutted from the car so you can get inside door shuts boot and engien bay area? or is it going to be a glass in doors closed blow over?
Do you plan on taking all the bumpers off and stripping as much as you can before it goes to the paint shop?

One thing i remember is that the paint can vary in price per litre .
This really can knock you for six when they give you a quote.
Just out of interest what sort of prices have you had for this amount of work ?

I think it will look excellent in that colour. Esp more so, if it had a full Zender kit, LE alloys, LE fuel Cap, LE mirrors, LE headlights and LE rear lights.

I think it will look cool, im doing the same with my coop but i have a different direction with mine, im going for a full respray in pearl metalic white and going for the factory abarth look, red mirrors, abarth decals, as the 500 abarth, and red multi spoke aloys, any thoughts!

Due to the bad weather, I've not started yet.
Does anyone know when it will be warm and sunny again?
Also, I notice that you guys are saying £2300 is a good price- what would be the normal expected price for this level of work?

Correct me if I am wrong but... that's bronze not orange The Lambo/ST Orange will look excellent, but like some other members have mentioned, I would go for anthracite wheels not black!

Thanks for the photos guys. Have any forum members got any more orange car pictures? I'm trying to pick an orange that is vibrant, that really shows off the Coupe's lines and makes the car look extra exotic. Essentially, I'm trying to get the ''orange version of sprint blue'' - not for the way in which it changes shade, but in terms of the intensity and solidness of the colour, if that makes any sense. What do you think of these?

Sort of, I guess. IIRC, it was a stock Volvo or Vauxhall colour... I think it suits the coop though.

Most oranges I've come across are either:
a dull orange, a yellowish orange, or too dark.
Please find me the perfect orange.
