Hi Peeps,

When i brought my Copue i did not get any key fobs for the alarm and when looking through the cars history the alarm was isolated due to a fault.

Do you think it would be worth getting some new fobs and having the old alarm looked at or just getting a whole new alarm system?

I'm led to believe from what I've read on here the original Meta alarm that was fitted was not the best! & has been given rough ride on here at times lol, but I cannot comment personally, as all the coupes I have owned have had aftermarket systems fitted

most coupes (esp Forum owned) have CAT1 aftermarket systems fitted, so if your budget allows, get one fitted you don't have to break the bank, popular choices for the coupe are:

TOAD Ai606 (they play up a bit though lol)
Clifford Concept 500 series

Fairly adequatley priced + you will have the benifit of having a spare fob & if you get in installed by a Thatcham approved company, a Cat 1 certificate, which should help lower your insurance premium.
