just bought my first coupe 4 weeks ago and has had one problem after another. first it was the clutch packed in, so fitted that and replaced every seal in gearbox, then when i got it built up the visco oil seal was still dripping abit. then it was hub bearing, next up was a boost leak from the dump valve, then a vac pic off causing a boost leak. then i lost most of boost due to the ebv sticking so i cleaned up the ebv today a took it for a blast up the m1 only for a lorry to spit up a stone and smash the windscreen. so if anyone knows of someone who can perform an exorcism on it let me know.

just wish now i had of stayed with jap cars. by the time christmas is here i think i will have replaced every part of the car. the only good thing ( i think) is that the engine was completely rebuilt by fiat at 75000 and clock has just reached 100,000. car still needs front pads and discs, rear pads, and interior lighting fixed. if it wasnt for its looks it would have been sold already.

They are minor niggly bits, (apart from the clutch) for a car of its age, thats to be expected. People have had much worse before on here, including myself, big money jobs etc.
Now in the 400+ bhp club!

i agree that they are minor bits including the clutch its just as ive always owned nissans which never gave me any bother to get a fiat that seems so far nothing but bother. i put it down to the previos owner who must have just drove the car and not worried about the rest.

I've owned 3 coupes and all of them required constant spending, basically you'd be the world's luckiest person to get away with spending nothing and I'd go as far as to say no one who owns a 10year older for example, has not spent a small fortune on them. Like everyone, my coupe has one thing after another going wrong, obviously nothing major but the usual stuff that crops up (for example this year alone = £110 for clutch slave+washer jet, £250 insurance excess for an impact during the weird weather in Feb, £210 for new wishbone and faulty boost controller, £200 for both rear wheel bearings to pass MOT and the list goes on) just when you don't need the expense. That's Coupe ownership for ya.
