The 'want' list is posted in the Project thread Simon - There WILL be loads that I will do to this one - definitely a keeper mate!

I quite like the idea of replacing ALL parts (within reason of course) over a long period of time - Maybe a bit of wishful thinking here though wink

LOL cheers mate!!
well my plan is sell the coupe, plus a whole host of my worldy belongings then my house and start my life over in a new house and then get another coupe, probably next year.
It will no doubt be a plus too and either, yellow and indeed ink black!!

Well done Patch, she's a beauty! love

I saw her while I was up at Joe's on Saturday getting work done to mine including fitment of HIDs cool which I see is on your agenda for the Plus. Mine are 55w 6000K (though they are eBay ones from China) and I'm really pleased with how they look (let's see how long they last...). My 2p's worth is that 8000K would be too blue - if you want to avoid an 'obviously modded' look that is... chinny

Have you swapped the front wheels over yet? That was the only visible blemish when I saw the car!

Yep, two new (well better condition) front wheels were put on by Joe before I picked her up. There are a few paint marks that need sorting, so alls good.

As for the HID's, I went for the 35W 6000K on my steely, they are great, I'm going for a set of Philips 35W 6000K for the Plus though, I've read good things about these.

Fiat Multipla
Lexus GS 300 Sport Mk1
Lexus GS 300 Sport Mk2

Current is, of course, the 'Plus'

Good to see another Coupe gets some loving smile

I can see why you changed Coupes looking at the pictures of both. The Plus has a bizaar edge. I'll be watching the progress of the Plus with interest and envy wink

Ooooh, not a fan of the Plus wheels then? To be honest it seems a happy coincidence as the plus wheels should make your steely EVEN more desirable to the right buyer! thumb

Best of luck with the sale! smile

I agree I don't really like them either, but it they help the car gain more money in re-sale i would of thought remove the tires and store the rims, then buy some tasty replacments

Grille looks interesting... I think it will be better to gauge its appearance in daylight at a distance. Up close pic is ok but hard to imagine it with the rest of the car.

Could be onto a winner perhaps with the silver trimmings smile

Yes, the jury is out on this for me? I might go a darker shade of silver yet.

It sure is, what a bargain laugh

Just been spraying up a centre dash console (the one with the heater controls on) tonight, loads of primer and sanding. I'll need to find a shade of silver I am happy with first. The plan will then be

Silver 20VT wheels
Silver dash
Silver grill
Silver wing mirrors
Paint bonnet badge black

Cheers Yella - The engine bay has been initially cleaned, I'll be looking to a nut and bolt job in here, over time of course.

What's happening with yours? Are you getting it back to standard to sell on? I'm intrigued!

No, defo not selling, just returning to standard engine tune and possibly interior. The bodywork is far more important to me now which probably means a full respray. Your bleedin' valeting threads are to blame by the way laugh

No need to get snippy smile Just our ideas of a proper (as you say) "nut and bolt restoration" differ somewhat.

I'm not getting snippy (if there is such a word), though I fail to see where I mention that these cars were 'nut and bolt' restoration projects?

My lexus (Mk1) sold within 1 day of advertising it to a gentleman from Ireland by-the-way laugh
