Apologies for vanishing off into the sunset somewhat unexpectedly... we gave up after the lay by meetup and decided the A120 looked like a good road to go home on. Tried to call Bob but couldn't get through until we got home: 192 miles and the needle's still above the half-way.

I don't think I've ever been at a meet with *two* 16NAs together before...

Howdy folks smile

Nice to meet you all !

I was particularly impressed with the new Laptop widget. I can see this is going to lead to a whole new dimension of Coupe paranoia wink

Shame I missed the final photo-call though frown

See you all again sometime !

Ian.

Well that was an interesting meet, how many times did we get lost? laugh

It was a great turnout for an Anglian meet though, thirteen participants + one passer by. Wil got a bit of a shock when we all turned up in his local supermarket car park biglaugh

A good meet always gives the Coupé spirit a bit of a stir and today really did kick start my enthusiasm. Roll on the Brooklands meet cool

Thanks to all who came, I had an awesome day, and you all seem like really nice people(!)

Especially thanks to the cheeky jas_racing who did a very good job of babysitting the newbie!

I don't think we got lost - it's just that we weren't necessarily all going to the same place at the same time. A minor moment of senility that confused Colchester with Braintree smile

Emmie it was good to meet you. However you have to be a little careful; about saying that the members are 'nice' - witness this thread when I made the same mistake.

I'll get my photos sorted shortly. Like now

You're welcome Preppy! Not sure why I deserve the "cheeky" title though...

Was indeed a great meet with a good turn-out. Nice to put some new faces to names and meet familiar ones again smile

Good to bump into you guys today (I was the random in the Sprint Blue that turned up at Notley Tesco to do some shopping). Particularly nice to see some old faces that I haven't seen for ages and some nice looking, well looked-after cars. I haven't been on a meet for years but this afternoon has re-kindled my interest once again!

I'll be sure to check the forum for any future events.

Looks like a good day was had by one and all - sorry we couldn't get there frown - but at least my Sons team won 10-3 this morning and the league cup final now awaits next Sunday woohoo

Still thinking about yesterday, it was an awesome day. I've never done anything like that and really enjoyed it.

Lots of funny memories:
- Hearing the evo police car sirens and thinking "ohhhh sh..."
- Boosted7 booting it past that police station!
- The random motorbiker standing in the middle of the road
- Driving through a town centre (not sure which) and having every single person in the street stare at us with their mouths wide open
- Whoever was in front of me when we went past that big stately home slamming on to check it out, glad I was looking in front not checking it out!

I'm sure there are loads more!

Fiat Coupe for life!

Or at least make the PLAN of our route before we set off wink laugh Taking the convoy through the villages is always good for obtaining jaw dropping looks as we pass by cool

There were some funny moments Emmie, I particularly liked the one of Antony, BOOSTING past the police station biglaugh

Perhaps we should also follow up on the idea that someone expressed, regarding having a meet with an activity, visit etc?
