So needed a replacement car when the coupe goes into long term storage end September. Wanted an Alfa but Mrs Gman didn't want anything more than 8 years old so the manual Giulietta Cloverleaf was out the window
. Anyway the below had been on for a fair few weeks at a strong price so being localish went up to view and take for a test run:
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-de...ansmission=&year-to=2024&fromsraImmaculate condition etc etc with the owner working abroad leaving mum and dad to sell on his behalf. Anyway to cut to the chase agreed at £6.7k which is an absolute steal! Ok it is a sheep in wolfs clothing being the 1.4tb but Mike at Bonellos (Newcastle Alfa specialist who btw is a Coupe 16v owner
) told me not to dismiss as it's an unburstable engine and not as sensitive as the multiair. Anyway the test drive showed it could be hustled along in dynamic mode nicely with a subtle rasp from the exhaust and felt solid on the road. And Mrs Gman likes it
It's a bit low on tech but tbh I don't buy cars for the latest gizmos so wasn't a big deal. Silver is a bit .. meh .. so in the fullness may get the alloys done in gunmetal / anthracite just for a bit of contrast.
So like you Theresa - I've joined the Alfisti
