Had been thinking about getting the Coupe resprayed in Portofino blue again, so its all one consistent shade (at the moment its a combination of portofino blue and plain purple panels).

But now I'm thinking about getting it done in black as I want to get the cada bumper and lester grille- which I think would look even better in black. This is because these style mods give the Coupe a more agressive look and of course black is a more dramatic colour than Portofino.

So, should I get it resprayed or just buy another black Coupe?

I had the cambelt changed in November 2008 and its got about 77000 miles on it. Only problems on it at the moment are- the heater fans are not working, the clutch creaks when you press it and sometimes there is an egg smell after a hard drive. Apart from that it drives ok. I got it last August. Its a 97.

I wouldn't go for a total colour change personally, to do it properly would end up costing as much as another one! No sure I agree about black. Since I got the alfa in black, I've noticed just how many dark/black cars there are these days.

Say what you like about porto' , it's certainly distinctive! smile

I don't have my old sprinty any more.... there was an 'incident'

My Alfa GT is Nero Metallico. Looks sweet, but it's hard work to keep it looking that way.

Either get the Porto sprayed properly in Porto or buy a black Coupe.

Changing Porto to Black will be a lot of hassle and cost, as you'll have to get all the insides, under the bonnet, bootlid, etc, all painted too

Portofino blue is one of the GREAT colours. Black cars are everywhere. Why would you want to follow the herd?

Portopinko IS the new black !

Talk to a pro bodyshop about a top quality porto
re-spray.And see if they could add a little more deapth of colour by using the base coat techniques you see on custom spray jobs.
That would look nice BUT not standard......what am I thinking !!
