Car passed the mot last week but I need to change my front tyres. The bad thing is they cost £110 each and have only been on the car for 10 months and i've only done 5k! The tyres were brand new, not remoulds! The car has not been on a track and I don't have a heavy foot!

Question is what do I go for next, I don't want to spend a fortune on cr*p tyres! Mr C

Buy a couple from camskill and get your local tyre shop to fit them. 5k?!!

I've done 5k in my car over the year and my T1-R's have about 6mm of tread left.

Have you had the tracking done? Toe in or out could scrub the tyres down.

that really surpises me as i have found p zero's rosso's lasted really well on other cars i have used them on.

That's the weird thing Mr Kenno, the tracking is perfect but both tyres are very very low in the middle. This would suggest too much air pressure but like most of us I check the pressure on a regular basis!

Chris, time to get some better looking tyres with alloy savers too

Falken 452,s are great value and feel as good as F1s

Corner harder... that'll sort out the extra rubber on the out bits of the tyre.

Are you sure the pressure gauge you're using is correct?

I'm using the fccuk gift from last year so it should be spot on!

i go through front tyres every 3/4k! It gets driven hard though

Likewise my fronts only tend to last about 6 months.

Check round for prices on F1's though. I just found a guy up here that will supply them for £90 a corner. A very reasonable price if you ask me.
