Don't think I have ever seen a 16v in the green/azure colour in real life. Hens teeth? All 16v Coupes are like hen's teeth now - less than 100 left The colour is Chamonix Green - not particularly popular - I'm guessing it was well behind Speed Red and Broom Yellow, as well as Blitz Blue and Ink Black (did they do Steel Grey in the 16v?)

Hmmm,
Highly tempted to go 50/50 with you Blueboy if you have room to store them ... just one bit of bodywork/trim/ lights from the red one would justify the outlay for a donor to back up TRS in future times....(know the reds not the same model)
Saves them going to the scrap year...mind you I don't want to get caught up in the pitfall of buying something that then would be a breaker...and falling in to the current forum debate.
Hmmm
MM Hmmm MM We wouldn't be buying anything to break up and sell, especially not on the forum's selling pages for sure, would we?

If they a savable coupes then all well and good, but they need buying in order to preserve at least the parts! And if so it would be good to see the parts availiable on this clubs forum.

Exactly why the current amended rule, and it's predecessor, are, in my opinion, fanciful and go against the ethos of preserving the Coupe 'brand'
Always seem to have too many 20VT's to count......

The Club should be buying these (although I hate to think of the hassle it would cause the Club)
I honestly can't see any of the specialists buying them. The chances that they can be saved is minuscule - they will be rotten. It would take many thousands to restore the bodywork
So, let's assume that buying with the intention of breaking is allowed, the demand for spares is going to be extremely slow, as there are less than 100 16v variants on the road now. Unless the specialist has more room than they need (Motormech doesn't), then I hate to say it, but these two Coupes are heading for the crusher.
They might just get bought by someone that wants a few 16v parts, but what's left won't be stripped, catalogued and stored - it will probably have a brief eBay ad for parts, then down to the scrappy

These cars will go the same way as the original 124 and pre 124 spiders. Neglected and not wanted for 30 years. All scrapped, no parts, and unloved. Then thanks to the internet, lo and behold, every body wants one ! Wow it's an international classic at last! I have a 1959 and a 1963 PF cabrio paid nothing for them, spent a few thou restoring them. Now fetching £30K plus. Last good 125 spider I saw fetched £18K. I have acquired M578 NAC, not for profit, but because these cars are a part of the unique Italian Auto Heritage that has passion in it's genes.

In the catalogue they are 1050 and 1052. The registrations are there too. At a push I could go and bid for someone and or check the condition (rust!)
