Hello everyone.
I need your help. Yesterday the car was hoisted curiosity Dyno test. The result is visible in the picture. Would you please comment on it. Engine is standard with the exception of an additional dump valve fitted ( Forge DV006) and K&N panel filter. Should not you be graphic more smooth?

Why have you tested against KPH? You should have power and torque against engine rpm.

should look like this mate with the power/torque/RPM on the graph or something similar I would have thought to see what is going on.

Not uncommon for dyno's to plot against speed, in fact Dyno Dynamics calculate their runs like this hence why they mess up the rpm scales so often.

I have no idea! This is my first ever visit to Dyno. I also saw that it was wrong.

My point was that it's not nice to read like that. And why is there no torque values?

@ Flea What do you mean mess up the rpm scale confused

Horespower is usually extrapolated from torque x revs/5252, but it can also be worked out according to work rate (which is the definition of horsepower) i.e. accelerating a known mass, which in this case is the roller.

Dyno Dynamics operators often (and I do mean often) mess up rpm scales which doesn't affect the horsepower reading, but it does affect the reverse calculation to torque.

I do not know why there is no torque! Tires (185/60/15 winter) had no good traction with the rollers. I was hoping from this test to figure out why the car was so wild.

I will try to explain. I drove 16VT which behave quite differently. Power, comes at the same rpm but somewhat steady and constant. To me around 3000 rpm is like the Big Bang. Though up to 3000 rpm have a car with 50 horsepower and at 3001 rpm, they are already 200! When replacing timing belt and had to change gear on the exhaust shaft. Mounted gear from my old atmospheric engine (147 hp) I have not found a gear for 20VT. Gears are visually identical but Eper they have different numbers! I'm afraid that I might have changed the phases of the timing. Whether I could explain the behavior understandable?

erm looks normal to me. assuming 140kph is 7000rpm, so at 3000rpm ur getting boost hence ur power is spiking upwards. this seems normal for the stock 20VT turbo. peak power is around 190+ wheel hp at around 5500rpm which is also normal.

of course, this is based purely on your hp curve. without the torque, boost and air-fuel ratio readings, u cant really tell what else the car is doing.

Thank you guys and especially you Redd. In the future I will make "real" Dyno test and then maybe things will be clear enough for me. Greetings all from Bulgaria.
