That's kind of lucky in a strange way, better happening at the garage than at Spa or even worse on the Belgees awful pot holed roads!
I'm looking forward to driving the coupe, it's my turn to sit up their arses flashing my lights! Get over slow coach!
I'm only joking of course but i've been on the end of this kind of thing everytime we travel in France/Belgee and i've always had the wife and kids in the car...

Yes and in dramatic style as well.came out of the wheel arches and the grill all at once.Glad it did it whilst you were in the car park and not after i had done the job though.Very lucky there.

Well, The desesion has been made. The 500 will be making the trip instead of the coupé.

There are a number of reasons from break down recovery costs/they wont recover the coupé from Austria right though to the petrol costs involved.

55mpg vs 28mpg over 2000 miles really does add up

What's that leave me to pay on Tuesday as I will not be looking for any track time?

Sam, you have a PM.

16VT and X1/9 1500 + e208 Peugeot

We must all do our part for the planet.
I unplugged a row of electric cars that nobody was using.
I even unplugged my own.

that's very low mileage returns on a long trip - you need that sorting out

Hey up proccy, on using past numbers I have recorded from my 325 mile round trip to and back from london.

I full the tank and come back with the orange light flashing

60L tank?
to empty that in 323 miles I must be doing around 24.47mpg

I know its not and will never be a clear run but it reflects real world conditions. The only time I can get above that number is if I stick to below 3.5k RPM
In which case I can probably do it under 3 quarters of a tank

I do the same trip with the 500 and come back with the fuel light on, but its only around £29 to fill it

Personally i find the coupe to be very economical and returns alot more than some of the claims on here.
Enough things have been done to your coupe so reliability shouldnt be an issue.

On my trips across Europe I have gone from getting over 450 miles on a tank to just short of 200 miles (Through Germany evil ) Surely a Euro trip is not just about getting good fuel returns.

In many parts of Europe the Coupé is regarded as an exotic car, honest. I have quite often had people walking up and passing on compliments while they take a look over the car.

Then there is the sound of a 20VT barking its way up an Alpine pass. that alone has to be one of the best experiences, for an Italian car enthusiast, this side of £50,000 cool

Spaitalia... press release and mailing excerpt...

"As usual, many clubs have returned their request for a space of reception. In particular, we will underline the presence of the FIAT Coupe Club United Kingdom which takes the initiative to gather a maximum of cars of the mark to animate the two track sessions retained only for them."

Well peeps i am SERIOUSLY considering doing this as i think it's be AWESOME to take Angelica around spa :D

Im having a few "issues" with the old gorl at the minute but to be fair they are wear and tear things like the turbo smoking like a bas*@rd altho i have NEVER changed this in coming up to 5 years and i bought the car on 62,000 and she'd now on ermmm 115,000 i think also the front wheel bearings are making a nasty noise so ive ordered them up to change them but i think her main issue is SHE'S JEALOUS as i bought (dare i say it *whispers* a jap car that ive re-built for drifting) and i trully believe that she's jealous as to the amount of time & money ive spent on him recently and she wants more TLC!!!!!

Anyways going slightly off topic so im hoping to get these issues sorted out & give her a thorough check over before the trip i know what your all going to say but im still gonna ask - Worth me putting my name down and coming along for the ride??? ;)

Is it safe over there or will we all be in groups most of the time? (lady by herself always worries me in a foreign country)

Can i also ask which ferry people are getting over there? what time on the friday? and the cost for it i saw a post from Pete earlier in one of the threads saying pre-booking ferry costs are about £50-60.....

I dont have an international tom tom tho and would be rather lonely travelling all the way over there on my todd :(
Is there a meeting point where we are all meeting up at and then convoying over there? Either meeting in the uk or France?

Imagine that a convoy of 30+ coops in all different colours, various different bodykits, standard ones - WOW THAT'D BE AWESOME!!!!! :D ;) :D

Yeah well me and Mattm will be supporting you all from the hard shoulder im sure where 30 coupes in convoy will look great.

It will soon be time that us midlanders sorted a convoy out.Im up for LFE services if anyone else is.Or J24 of M1.

One thing does concern me though. My car isnt built yet.
As in,it hasnt moved for 8 months.
