I was flicking through my *parents* edition of the Daily Fail, and there is an article showing a massive collection of cars from the car scrappage scheme on a runway.

One of the detailed photos shows a speed red coop in profile.

There is quite a selection of cars on that photo that appear to me to be worth £2000 or more?

agreed mate, that is weird e class merc, audi a6, subaru forester etc....

sad, not only for the coupe but what looks like a lot of perfectly roadworthy cars. I would imagine that some car salesman took the cars regardless of what they were worth simply to get a sale. And who can blame them.

At least some of those cars will be used to keep others going cheaply.

I have said it before, all this has done is remove roadworthy cars from circulation that people can afford to replace and maintain

You mean the Daily Mail might not have been totally truthful when presenting the facts? Never!

I know a few people on here mentioned that they were scrappage scheme-ing their coupe - anyone going to own up to scrapping that 16v?

BTW when I first looked at the article I thought Callum had spotted a coupe on the first picture
