Does anyone have one of these fitted ?

If so do you have any details on how to make the brackets for it ? Or do people modify the existing brackets ?

i have the 22mm version, but kelv was saying the 24mm need modified brackets to fit - pm him mate he knows

I was wondering the same as I have one of these to fit when I get a chance.

I fitted mine and it was pain in the ****

Basicaly i've used top part from standard arb , and bottom part was fabricated.
I've used blow torch to heat it up and something that have 22-23mm diameter to shape it up.

It much easier with 22mm , you can use original brackets , you just drill the rivets out , and spit it in two halves.

I have some pics 24mm fitted , also have the compararison with 22mm eabach and 24mm whiteline you'll see on the pics the obvious difference.

I've shaped the brackets to fit arb , rather then force the arb to fit the brackets.

Could you not have split the brackets and put a washer/spacer in between them to give the extra room needed for the larger ARB ?

Yes as anthrax has mentioned, you'll need to make brackets for the 24mm. You'll also need to think about how the brake compensator valve is going to be remounted. For the 22mm, you'll need to grind the bracket for it to slot through the thicker bar. I would imagine you'd need to grind more on the 24mm...lots more.

Adam-i would not use washers between the brackets , beacause arb wont be wrap around the bracket to sit tight.
It should be the same design as the standard one , i would even weld it as eabach did.

Kelv-i didn't look into brake compensator valve yet , as my coop still in bits , but i think all it needs is streach the spring a bit , but i might be wrong , could you put the the light on it , please...
You defenately right about that little bracket...i've had to use around file and take bit by bit off until it just fit , and it's alright now tight and secure.

Sorry..i didn't mean the compensator valve itself. The bracket that attaches to the ARB is the one in which the spring from the valve hooks on to. Before removing the little bracket off the old arb, take a note on its position/orientation so that you can position it the same way on the new arb. This is to ensure that the tension on the spring is the same as before...or you would have to readjust the valve again.

Yeah and I don't think the standard compensator spring bracket could take much more off it and remain strong enough,22mm would be it's limit IMHO .

Baz-spring bracket is alright , if you file the hole out evenly.
There is no much load on the bracket , so i can see a issue in there.

I had similar problems with the 22mm too, not lining up so I had to to my own brackets. Can't understand how people manage to fit the std brackets.. Unless you bend the ARB itself!

Sorry , i didnt know 22mm off centre too , so it needs custom brackets too.
Other day i've spoke to balancemotorsport and his mention that i can use standard brackets on 22mm whiteline
I suppose that was kind of assumption standard brackets will fit.

The standard bracket does fit with the 22mm. The curvature of the bracket is obviously not perfect and clamping between the 2 halves won't be as flush, but it is still doable.

my 22mm is fitted with standard brackets, and it was done by MM.

The 24mm on the otherhand will require custom brackets, when i spoke to julien i arranged to send my standard brackets to him after fitting my 24mm (when i actually get round to it) so he could fabricate a solution to be sold with the 24mm.

Unfortunately the 22mm rear ARB is no longer available at balancemotorsport end it will take something like 3 months to get some.

24mm is a pain, not only does it not fit the clamps but as anthrax said it isnt even bent to sit in the original position correctly. I made some clamps by hand one looked symmetrical the other had the cut out offset and at an angle to meet the bar. By hand it took hours. Really naff product.
here's an old pic, they weren't meant to be slotted on the holes I just drilled them 5mm out just to make life even harder. A milling machine would make this job so easy.

Bugger, kind of wish i went for the 22mm one now as this sounds like it will be a pain in the to fit....

OT: what about the quality of the Eibach kits ?? are they easier to fit ?

I have a 22mm arb left... tried to source a Dedra front arb but haven't succeeded so far (not yet decided but I am thinking about buying an Eibach Kit which means I wouldn't need the Whiteline arb anymore...)

EIBACH kit absolutely perfect fitment and quality :)))

The 3 month wait is why I went for the 24mm ARB. I already have a dedra front ARB and need them done before Spa really.

Im going to sort the rear barackets and send a set to Balance Motorsport so they can then fabricate the brackets and sell the 24mm bar as a kit.

Yeah I have made a set, just got to see if they fit ok now. I'll get round to it in the next few weeks
