Hi people what are the pros and cons with this turbo?

ive read in the tuning thread that they are good for 340bhp max but i thought they were good for the 400bhp mark so what is true?

any info would be great

is there nothing on garrett's site giving expected bhp figures?

no the gt28rsr isnt on there its just the numbers if you know what i mean

The RSR is not an official Garrett turbo but a hybrid between the GT28R and GT28RS 0.64. It has a flow potential of 320-380bhp dependant on the spec.

Flea what spec would you need for around 350bhp?

Knight, Im running an RSR with 380bhp, courtesy of a Flea map too, but thats proof that it can be done with all the supporting mods.

cheers guys for the help i think i may go for the gt2871r so i can break the 400bhp mark when fully forged.

i dont want to spend money on the rsr and end up changing again when i do the rebuild

you may want to speak to Nigel then, he can tell you the best spec to achieve the 400+bhp!
