I've put this as a separate thread to identify and list *confirmed* convoy meeting places and times, so they don't get lost in the clutter of the main thread.

Please post here *only* if a convoy, its starting location, and time to meet is definite, or to add your name to one of the convoy lists. Use the main Brooklands thread or PM to discuss the actual details - this thread is just for reference.

You might like to cut'n'paste the format and layout below...

Reckon there could be 8 of us coming from the West. Now where/when?!

Potential Convoy members:
patch234 - M4 from Bristol or Oxford, M25
Countrycrusing- M5, M4, M25 doing the hill climb
Mrs CC- M5, M4, M25
Knight7660- Windsor M4
Duncan78 & The Wife (assume if coming up A34 Duncan?!)
Hammy - A34/M4 J13 Chieveley Svcs/M25 anticlock Jnc 12
MiniMetaller (James) + Dad (Ian) - M4 from Bristol
Hovedan - M4 from Bristol

Probably best meet nr Bristol, something like
1) Services nr Bristol (Countrycruising, Mrs CC, Patch, Minimetaller, Myself)
2) J12 Chieveley Svcs, (Hammy and Duncan 78?)
3) Knight7660 somewhere nr Windsor (perhaps Bracknell cut through?)

What do you all think?

I'm going to cut across from Worcester and join the M4 at Swindon Junction J15. It's saves fuel and cutting back on myself from Worcester.

Anyone know the nearest services from here going East?

I'll speak to Joe and other local's to see what they are doing but this is a good point for me. Perhaps we can arrange a pit-stop at the nearest services (to check oil) laugh

Membury Services would be closest.

I'm thinking of joining at J12/Chieveley as well. I need to get a ticket on the door.

I'm coming down the A34 and Skinflint has PM'd me this morning to say that he is meeting at Chievley too. Should we focus on Cheiveley - the advantage is that its one service area for all directions so it will be easy to meet people coming from different directions without a massive detour.

M4 people - according to Googlemaps its about 1hr-1hr 15 from J12 (Chieveley Svcs) to Brooklands via M25/A3 depending on traffic.

Jame5, how about if somebody phones you when we are x minutes away? I think a Satnav set to go to Junction 8 would give a pretty accurate countdown.

The Bristol lot above aim to be on the M4 by 7am, its a long stretch to cover Bristol to Chieveley in 30 mins, an hour is probably more realistic at borderline legal speeds.

8am at Chieveley is probably most realistic.

Well 8am it is then smile What say the others?

Yeah, I was going by reaching Chieveley at about 8am. Is that the right time to aim for? What time should we be at Brooklands?

I also intend to be at Chieveley between 7.45-8. Takes between an hour to hour and a quarter to get to Brooklands from there, going by AA.

Thanks Neil. I'm convoying from Cambridge with a mate who has a 156GTA, but also have to swing via stansted mountfitchet to pick my dad up. So an 8am meet up at Hemel might be a bit too heroic for me, but I'll see what I can do. smile

Ok, if it's gone five past, we'll have gone!

But it's only five minutes off the M25 up the M1 north.

Where abouts at Clackets Lane are we meeting?
Service Area Car Park or Fuel Station (the natural home of a Fiat Coupe wink )
I take it it's the west bound side (southern side of the caridgeway) you'll be meeting at confused I would look a right plonker on the other side biglaugh

Shall we say @ the fuel station as guessing there's quite a bit of room there. (or at least migrate there bang on half past ready to go). And yes south side clockwise definitely. See you all there.

Cyborg and all,
I have realised that there is a long drive between M23 and getting back round to the Clackets Lane services frown can someone please call me on ? when you're passing junction 6 and I'll come up the slip road and tag onto the end of the convoy. Can someone acknoledge this request and take my number with them and either PM me or respond in some way so that I'm not left sitting on the A22 for ages wondering if you've gone by or not confused I'll check the forum before I leave tomorrow.
Thanks, Ross.

Thanks skinflint, see I've a brake light out on the high level bar. Joy. Least you didn't snap any white smoke puffing from my exhaust!
