i have been offered a few engines but wanted to know if theres anything i should look for...

i have been offered 1 with 118,000 miles which is abit high milage but only £200...
or 1 with less than 50,000 miles for £650...
or some on ebay with 90,000 miles for £350...

i would like the 1 with the lowest milage but the price is just too high, the 1 with 118,000 on has fsh to 108,000...after i give it a good service would there be anything else to expect to go wrong? or should i wait for another on ebay...

Simple advice, avoid ebay engines. You have no idea of the history or the real mileage. Anyone can provide alleged documentation to prove a mileage, whether it's for that particular engine is open to debate...

I bought mine from Joe (countrycruising) and he did supply all the genuine service history for that engine.

i know where there is a forum members 80k engine with good comp and oil pressure at a good price i think he may even give a month warrentee its just come out of a full history le...don,t buy ebay dude theres plenty of trustworthy people here that can supply engines with real histories

i would also say don,t go with a high miler they don't go on forever and even the well looked after examples
