I've seen a few pictures on here now of a few people with a chrome gear gaitor surround and I like the look, however I cant find any one that sells them. can any one advise? I have searched on ebay and can find plenty for other makes and models but not ours

Fiat did a gaitor surround, handbrake handle and gearknob. They sold out years ago and are a rare find on ebay.

There were a few after-market alternatives but they have dried up too.

I think they are quite rare, well the ones specifically for the Coop from Fiat. I purchased one on here second hand, along with a chrome gear knob.
It's a case of keeping an eye open & playing the waiting game I'm afraid. Of course there's always a chance some one on here may be able to help....

hmm i was thinking that there may be one for another make model would fit if turned around maybe? but there is no way of telling.

Blimey proccy, on ebay it would have fetched 1/2 a new engine

There was a group buy about 5yrs ago of a cheaper chrome surround. It was more curved and required you to run over it before it would fit (I kid you not). I think it was intended for a Vauxhall Astra. Sadly details lost in the great Forum Crash of 2005

That's exactly what I've got. Come to think of it, if I remember correctly Joe Countrycruising had an auction of some parts, some while back. I was the highest bidder for the surround & gear knob & h/brake cover
