Looks like with a little work it wuld be lovely, but its not had a belt changed in 10 years according to the owner, makes me wonder what else has been missed, and if it has nearly full service history, why weren't the belts done?!

Looks to me thats going to go for good money, too much money, but good money, still, if you want a blue plus it's worth a punt so long as you weigh up the cost of putting the bodywork straight and the odd mechanical job. Anyone on here having a go at it? Own up!!

I checked this out when it was first listed well it needs Clutch & belts straight off so, theres £700 for starters & it's already upto £3100 I wonder if these bidders have checked the turbo, wishbones, oil cooler pipes, electrics, blah-de-blah.... I bet not Could be a Moneyyyy Pitttt! - despite the mileage

I agree, with what I know (up to now) there is no way I would want to pay more than £2500.00 for that car. But hey, hope he gets what he wants, it certainly does not look really cared for though! The advert text is large, but most is irrelevant for what I want to read about.

and thats before you sort the bodywork out, thats the best part of a grand i'd say, say it goes for 4k, it will need a further 2-2.5k spending on it at least...the figures don't add up IMO

What's with all the negativity?
It the best model, in possibly, the best colour, its low on miles, its got a few issues and needs some money spent. But its an auction, let the guy sell his car.

It's not negativity, just people who know the cars discussing a car for sale! last time I checked, we were living in a free country!

It the best model, in possibly, the best colour, its low on miles, its got a few issues and needs some money spent. But its an auction, let the guy sell his car. Thats your opinion is it not? Some people would say that the colour isn't that hot and that it's not the best model! People are simply commenting on the car as a coop, knowing them as we do, the values, work involved to get them right, etc etc etc. Nobody is calling it a dog, if it's the car someone wants, it's worth what they are prepared to pay really. I personally don't like the colour, but then I'm not looking to buy it, it just seems to me that with the amount of work it needs it's starting to get a bit pricey, only my opinion though. It's good news for us all though, if a car in that condition can get that kind of money, things are looking up pricing wise for those of us who are currently owners. G

I'd say the bodywork could be sorted out for a grand, clutch and belts brings it up to nearly 2k, and I'd wonder about the suspension (probably lots of bumpy town driving if it's used a clutch at 50k). Maybe budget 3k for work to do immediatley. If you were looking for a car to get perfect and keep in the garage for sunny weekends and shows - this wouldn't be a bad starting point. It is mainly the mileage which attracts though, and as a daily driver those low miles don't stick around long

ummm not really It would have to be a perfect job at that price but considering the blending that will need to be done as well I dont think its too over the top

Clutch and belts wouldn't be a grand either but it's in the right ball park. I'd hope to get the bodywork done for 600 but wouldn't be too upset if it went towards a grand so long as it was perfect. Anyway, it'll probably be bought by some kid who sticks a chip on it and it'll be at joe's being broken inside 6 months

I must admit I'd discounted the seats, I'd just sell them as I have a near perfect plus interior I could use. They look like someone has been sitting in them with stupid studded jeans or something similar.

Not knowing oil pressure does seem odd - either clueless or hiding something.
Plus as somebody mentioned - where's the end of his exhaust?

Yes the oil pressure questions were repeatedly ignored ! I just hope the successful buyer uses his / her head and doesn't get too carried away with the 'low mileage' tag

The only plus side about that ad is the photos are a decent size! Too many dents for the price IMHO.

What ever the condition of the car, it looks like someone wants it....£3300, & still over a day of bidding left.
I'm an old git & happy with it,most of the time
