Anyone caught any recent Wheeler Dealers - Tue 9pm Discovery ?

I have seen some interesting cars being given the once-over recently - Porsche 944 track car, Audi Quattro, Triumph Spitfire and on tuesday night's epsisode they did a Jensen Interceptor. laugh

Later in the series they will be doing a Stag too cool

Yes I watched with great interest on Tuesday when they did the Jensen. The bloke who bought it at the end is a member of the Jensen owner's club forum, the car is still going strong!

It was on night on the Disco 'Shed' channel (around 240 on sky).

A Jenson interceptor for £5k! Blimey

I remember Jimbo saying that Mike Brewer talked to him about the new series when he was in Afghanistan. Can't wait for the quattro one.

I used to love this program but way too formulaic now. Jensen only sold for 7k, a "bit of profit" maybe if you don't cound 10 days labour frown

Agreed, if you have seen one, you have pretty much seen then all. There still quite enjoyable to watch however when I have a few minutes between work, shed, and sleep

I love it, it can do me no wrong. Probably, in a strange way, less monotonous than watching those crap soap operas on air, every night of the week with omnibus editions on everyday of the weekend splurdging out that complete load of tosh that women seem to lap up.

I still watch them it would be good if they pointed out the weakpoints of the various cars and maybe included owners clubs. I also lost a bit of faith after the Lancia Delta (factory RHD) debarcle.

Doing resprays for a couple of hundred annoys me too.

I've never seen them do a respray for £200 ? It cost them that much just to tidy up a Merc wing after Ed had done the prep !

I love Wheeler Dealers!

Everytime I watch it I end up going and doing a little on the car!

I think some people take TV a little too seriously, it's an entertainment program, and it it's about cars to boot, hoorah!

Now, maybe we should push to get a coop on there!

I've caught a few episodes of the new series, Disco, 500, DS, Poker & Bentley.
Still want to see the episode with the 'Cossie'.

2nd hand Bentley front lights £500 each!!!!!

I seem to remember they sounded out a potential buyer on the owners club website when they'd tarted it up.

Bockers is right about the RHD Integrale one but I still think it's a great watch. In fact I'm sat here now on my day off watching a load I've got Sky Plussed. And I've seen them before. Does that make me sad? frown laugh

im a fan i must admit.

it is annoing how they determine costs though, to get a garage to do some of the work ed does would be astronomical.

anyone seen the ferrari one? jeeez and we think coupes engine bay is cramped!

that exhaust manifold looked soooo sweet when it was refitted though!

I started watching this several weeks ago, when I found it up in the high numbers (271) on Virgin cable when I very rarely 'browse'.

I really like it, as they go into some of the technical aspects of the repairs, although granted not that deeply.

They sprayed that Bently a decent grey, but left the interior a clashing blue!

Wish I knew as much about car maintenance as Ed China!

The Capri in one of the early series was hilarious - Ed made a complete hash of spraying the wings and they stood out a mile...as I recall they bought the car for £400, spent £300 on "renovation" then sold it for..........£400 (to a girl who didn't really care what it looked like, she was just after something to get her around) laugh

I've not had Sky for that long (times were hard in the Baker household evidently!) and managed to completely miss this program in the past. Well I'm hooked now! It's brilliant. I've got about seven different showings on record. The show itself is pointless as like Bockers says, the profits are miniscule and only come about as Edd China is one of the best Mechanics in the UK. They would be well over budget every time if you factored in labour, but that's missing the point. It's all for the love of the cars thumb

The last time i met Edd China was when he came in to my work with a car that was going to feature on the show asking for tech help as he couldnt work out what was wrong. A couple of the techs went outside to look at the car with him and it was sorted 30mins later, he has visited us on more than one occassion for tech help.

The Lotus Esprit and BMW 840CI episodes were the best.

I've heard they are going to have a Coop on there soon.

i wonder what faults they would fix on that episode...

my top 3 would be:

1. CHOD with silicon as a value added preventative maintenance fix
2. Wishbone bushes
3. Replace std exhaust back box
