Pirelli P Zero nero's - always worked on my Alfa's so thought I'd try a set on the Coupe when the time comes

always liked falken 452's but currently trying a new pair of toyo proxes r1. certainly gave them a good workout in wales last week and managed to get them to lose traction, maybe earlier then the falkens or the khumo ecstas did

I always had the toyo proxies but my new coupe had Continental Sport Contact 2 fitted to it.
I had a chance to try them back to back and preferred the Continentals. hmmm, i could have got those for £88 a corner, the toyo's were dearer....i might try these next time

I only ever use 225/45/16 91y Continental Sport Contact 2.
They cost a bit more than the others but I'm a great believer when it comes to your tyres you can't skimp!!
Had Khumos on my last coupe and they gave away far too easy in the damp or cooler weather.
Cant beat Conti's

£88 is pretty good Steve.
Group buy?!?!
Suspect I will need some after Cadwell if i dont manage to source some track rubber beforehand. i can ask phil, but this is from a mate i play footy with who's a director at continental and would be from his staff "allowance"

I've got Dunlop SP's all round at the mo but not massively impressed. Going for the Falkens next time as I've read here and been told they're excellant and alot cheaper than the bigger names.....

Pirelli P Zero nero's - always worked on my Alfa's so thought I'd try a set on the Coupe when the time comes I've had a set of these on my Coupe. The good thing was that they were quiet and grippy. The downside was that they only lasted about 14,000 miles on the front (maybe my fault), and they don't overhang the wheel rim, so it is easy to kerb them.

I have new Pirellis on mine only down around 1000K but they seem very good so far - The Toyos do stick to the road well though.

Blackcircles are knocking out the 452 Falkens at just under £74 each at the moment.....Doubt you can get a better tyre for that money...

Mine needs fresh rubber all round. I've always used Proxies T1R (or is it S? can never remember) On the Rallye, I used the following: * Falken ZIEX452 - I didn't rate them at all. I don't know how old the tyres were, they had good tread, but I don't want to take a chance again just in case. * Vredestein Hi-Trac - Better than the Falkens, but still not good enough * Toyo Proxes CF1 - best of the bunch. Still not brilliant, though I guess no matter what rubber you put on small rims, 14" is 14". It would wheelspin in third in the wet. Oh, is the standard 20VT size 205/50/16? I'm not sure but I think I'll have a shop around now for rubber and prices
 Coopless!

Having had three coupes 1 speed 5 and 2 speed 6's
I would have to say the 225/45/16 is a better road holding/handling tyre size or it certainly felt more secure when cornering at speed.
But the 225 does train more when driving on motorways.
