Firstly, I'd like to start by saying a proper hello to everyone on here as almost all my previous posts have been paranoia fueled pleas for help or advice as well as the usual "I think I've overfilled my oil!", silly posts laugh
I've had my Coupe nearly a year now and have spent a reasonable amount of my hard-earned cash on it already.
Since I purhcased the car last July I have had the following work done.

1. Cambelt, tensioners, water pump, etc.
2. New plugs.
2. New coolant radiator.
3. New rear brake discs and pads.
4. New thermostat.
5. 2 front tyres.
6. Professional respray in standard Fiat colour (dark metallic red/burgundy/wine?).
7. Blueflame cat-back exhaust system smile

(All mechanical work done by PowerItalia).

I still have work to do (wishbones, wheel refurb, etc) but I actually feel that it is all starting to come together now and all of a suddenly it feels a lot more like the car I really wanted when I first became interested in Coupes.

The other point I would like to make is that it's all the people involved in the Coupe community (forum members, Coupe specialists -PowerItalia, FCCUK, etc) that have helped it all seem worth while so far.
I'm still going to get paranoid about it all as that's just me, but knowing that there's friendly, knowledgable folk on here is definitely reassuring and it's always nice to read up on stuff that you never knew about the cars before smile

Well I think that's about it for now. A fairly boring post I'll admit but it's one that I wanted to make anyway.

Oh, before I forget, does anyone know how to get my FCCUK membership number to appear on my profile?

Thanks again,

Neil

With me the membership number just cropped up on it's own!

One of the forums admins have to add your number so I'd suggest smiling nicely at one of them smile

Nice post, glad to hear that things are going well with the coupe.

But we need pics of the respray please! Also, where did you get it done?

Gareth

It sounds like your car is coming along well with the expensive things out of the way. It is surprising how much money you have to invest to make the coupe reliable and long lived. Good luck with your second year.

We've stopped doing this, for several reasons, not least of which is the fact that the new automated system assigns a far longer number now and it won't fit under your name!

Last edited by stan; 23/05/2010 11:39. Reason: There is another reason but we'd rather not give details on here, but it's a very *good* reason!

Ok, cheers for letting me know Stan and thanks also to those who have replied so far.
Also, Proccy, am I right in thinking that there's a video of your exhaust on Youtube at a meet? I think there's about 6 or so other Coupes there demonsrating their noise levels as well, including a 20V NA that made me smile smile
If I am right and yours is the one I'm thinking of then it sounds AWESOME!!

re : photos of the respray...

I aim to give it wash later, as soon as the sun goes in so hopefully I'll be able to get some nice photos posted soon. I'll be a little while washing it though as I never saw so many dead insects stuck to the front of a car before in my life!! laugh
The respray is nice and was done at a place local to me (Welwyn Garden City, Herts). The name of the bodyshop is Welspray. I did have to take the car back to them to get a few bits looked at again but I am very fussy when it comes to these sort of things smile
