I think it probably depends on what model you have. Have a look at the user guide in the 'How to' section

Yes you can on all models. You need to connect it to the PC. There is a widget FAq in the FAQ section that explains more.

You need the FAQ here: http://www.fiatcoupeclub.org/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=689479#Post689479

What you need depends on which version it is - either a USB or a serial connection.

Nope. The 16 doesn't know about the lambda.

If you see the port in the device manager, there should be a number associated with it (it'll only be there when the widget is attached and powered). In the terminal, that's the number you stick after the 'startrek bosch...' (can't remember the exact name at present.)

Sorry, confused myself there, thought you were using the star trek software... which you're not.

When you make a new connection with Hyperterminal, it'll ask you which port to use - that's what should be the number from device manager. You'll need to set the parameters as 8 bit, no parity, one stop bit, no flow control (there's a box that appears).

The first time you use it, it wants to know your phone area code.

After that you eventually get to a box asking what number you want to dial - go to the drop-down box at the bottom there and you'll find some com ports - the com port you found in device manager should be one of them.

Select that, OK, and you get another box asking about the parameters... 2400, 8, none, 1 are usually already loaded in the top four boxes, but you need to change the bottom box (Flow control) to 'none'.

Then you should be gold.

They'll tell you how long the injectors are firing for, but that's not precise enough for you to get anything more than a general idea.

If you have a 20v/vt (perhaps you could set your profile to indicate your model? Mystuff/Edit profile at the top of this page) then you can get an averaged lambda reading.

Yes, air temp is intake temperature. 54 in traffic is not unusual; heat soak from a stationary engine.
